The PlastLIFE project, coordinated by the Finnish Environment Institute, aims—together with project partners, stakeholders, and active citizens—to build a society that takes responsibility for plastics.

In a society that takes responsibility for plastics, solutions are sustainable and practices are created through collaboration. Every Finnish citizen must take responsibility for plastics and plastic waste.

We raise awareness about littering and its harmful effects; we develop and test new design solutions that enable sustainable consumption; we produce information on consumer attitudes and behaviours related to plastics; and we activate and engage different societal actors towards responsible plastic use.

This page brings together materials produced by the PlastLIFE project to support citizens in responsible plastic behaviour.
