Finland has made progress in the circular economy of plastics, but further action is needed to achieve its goals.

The circular economy of plastics has advanced in Finland through cooperation between businesses, research organisations and public authorities. A sustainable circular economy for plastics can strengthen the economy, enhance security of supply and improve environmental quality. However, further action is needed to fully realise its potential.

The recommendations developed in the PlastLIFE project highlight how a sustainable plastics value chain can strengthen national resilience.
